Jesus Loves Me This I Know

Do you ever wonder if God has forgotten you or abandoned you? I know I have.
There have definitely been moments in my life where I have felt as though I was crying out
to God with no reply. I know in my heart that God is good and always in control working for
the better in my life. However, I am definitely one of those people who would prefer that
God run His plan by me first, so that I can make changes where I see needed. Not realistic I know.
But, what can I say, I am a "fixer" I need that "light at the end of the tunnel". Through everything
that is going on. I am learning that it's moments when I can't see the "light" that God is holding
my hand- leading me through!       In the bible is says to have faith like that of a child.
Why do you think that is?
I could  tell my kids that tomorrow a gigantic bird was going to come pick us up for grocery shopping,
and they would most likely believe me. Kids trust with all that they are,
because they don't know or understand the dangers and stresses of the world.
I think God asks this level of trust from us as a test or measure of our faith in Him.

We as adults understand how the real world works.
How am I going to make ends meet? What questions will the kids ask? How will I answer them?

All of these thoughts came about as I was rocking Joyanna this morning. I was humming Jesus Loves Me trying to lull her to sleep. Then I realized how that song teaches the basic principles of trusting in God.
So today I am clinging to these words.

Jesus loves me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong;
they are weak but He is strong.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

please don't mind the Halloween PJs ;)

Though it's not easy, and I mean NOT EASY!! I am challenging myself to daily put all of my trust in Him that He will provide all that I need! This means financially, physically, mentally, and spiritually!
I challenge you to do the same.

  4. Very awesome post. Thank you. Even I need to remember the basics of faith, and too many times I fail at trusting God. I hope all is well today. Thank you for always being there for Sarah.
