Christmas Time is Here!

Here is our tree! I love the way it turned out! We had such a good time decorating it!
Now to get the presents wrapped and under it.

This is our new-to-us dining table with a matching hutch soon to come! A thank you to the Wessons! I'm so excited to finally have a place where all my china can go! I went ahead and set the table with my Christmas dishes I got on sale last year after Christmas...I love a sale, and I filled my At Home America tray with ornaments one of my old neighbors from Drum was getting rid of. Oh!.... and the green goblets are from Mrs. Benedict. See..decorating on a budget isn't so hard :). I'll post pictures of my hutch when it comes.

This is my snowman cookie jar my grandma got me from a garage sale.
He is so cute and now filled with freshly made peanut butter cookies!

This is also from my grandma! She always finds the best stuff!!

I hope you all enjoy decorating your home as much as Jesse and I have this year! If I don't talk to you personally- have a great Christmas! Remember the true reason for the season!

Playing Outside!

The weather was gorgeous yesterday!!
So I took the kiddos out to play!

Jennifer loves this ball, so of course Jr spent the majority of the time trying to take it from her!
Jr was "golfing" with the soccer ball.
His "big boy bike" as he calls it! He got it for his birthday.
Jennifer's race car she got for her birthday too!
Jr has this new thing about throwing the ball "way high".
and again with Jennifer's ball....
Explaining why he can't give Jennifer her ball back.
Love this pic of her!

MY KIDS ARE SO SWEET! I CAN'T IMAGINE ONE DAY WITHOUT THEM!!
MOMMY LOVES YOU!

Dinner at the Wood House

A New Spin on Meat and Potatoes

Ingredients:
5-6 red potatoes (depending on size)
1 pound of smoked sausage
Parsley Flakes
Italian Seasoning
Pepper
Garlic Powder
All Purpose Seasoning (I use Tony's Chacheres)
Cheese Sauce:
3/4 cup of Monterey Jack cheese shredded
    2 tbl. AP Flour
    1 cup of milk

Peel and cut potatoes into bite size pieces. In a large pot boil potatoes with the all purpose seasoning until tender. Drain. In a separate bowl mix milk and flour and whisk until flour is dissolved, then add shredded cheese. Cut sausage into rounds or quarter for little mouths. Brown in a skillet with the pepper, parsley, and garlic seasonings. When sausage is brown, mix cheese sauce and sausage into the pot of potatoes. Garnish with Italian Seasoning.

Fried Squash

2 yellow squash
1 egg
Milk
AP Flour
All Purpose Seasoning
Oil

Peel and cut squash into rounds. In a separate bowl mix egg and 3/4 cup of milk- whisk until egg is thoroughly beaten. In a separate bowl mix 1 cup of flour with all purpose seasoning until your preferred taste. Heat Oil in skillet. Dip sliced squash into egg mixture and then into flour and coat thoroughly. Fry squash until golden brown on each side. Enjoy!

And of course pictures of the kids...

House Hunting!

I really had no idea that I would ever be buying a home this early in my life!
However when life hands you lemons.....

The last two days Jesse and I have been looking at houses.
Hardwood floors, carpet, appliances, backyards, neighborhoods......

Who knew this process would be so exciting, scary, humbling,
and really allow me to see how God is constantly providing for our family!!

Jesse and I have currently put an offer on this
home and the seller has accepted!! We are now in the process of closing the deal!! God is truly amazing!!
We are told that we should be able to close as early
as the 22nd!! We are too thrilled for words!!!

Thanks to everyone who has been lifting us up in
prayers! Our time here in Georgia is going great!
